Syllabus

The curriculum is based on clear, purposeful graduality that matches individual differences among learners.

1.      The alphabet and the basic harakat:

·         Learning to write the Arabic letters alone and within words.

·         Learning the makharij and sifat.

·         Pronouncing each letter with the three basic harakat (fat’h, damm, kasr).

·         Training on pronouncing the letters and receiving immediate feedback.

2.      Mudood and tanween

·         Differentiating short and long harakat.

·         Understanding the types of mudood and how to pronounce them.

·         Practicing the pronunciation of mudood.

·         Reading two-letter syllables and three letter words.

3.      Sukoon and shadda

·         Understanding sukoon and the correct way of pronouncing letters with sukoon.

·         Understanding shadda and practicing reading letters with shadda.

·         Training on connecting letters and reading compound syllables.

·         Improving fluency and minimizing stress and hesitation.

4.      Practical reading

·         Reading full sentences correctly.

·         Reading specific verses of the Qur’an.

·         Applying the acquired pronunciation skills.

·         Taking a final test and getting feedback.
